Japanese Indie Game Recettear Sells 300,000 Copies Since Launch

Japanese shop-management game Recettear has sold 300,000 copies since its launch three years ago, Carpe Fulgur have revealed on their website.

 

Additionally, Carpe Fulgur’s other projects, Chantelise and Fortune Summoners, have both been “very successful” as well, according to the localization studio.

 

“All our products have, to date, turned a profit for us inside of six months, and then proceeded to produce nothing but pure profit from there on out,” Carpe Fulgur write on their site, adding that the studio “will not be going anywhere for a very long time.”

 

Carpe Fulgur are presently translating The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC for Xseed, who will publish the game in the west on PC and PSP.
