Jet Force Gemini was originally released for the N64 in 1999. It’s a third-person shooter featuring three playable characters. People can control the brother and sister duo, Juno or Vela, plus their dog Lupus. The team are part of a space law enforcement group attempting to save an alien race from an insectoid villain. While primarily a shooter, gameplay also included elements of 3D platformers.

It was developed by Rare, who worked extensively with Nintendo in the 1990s on the Donkey Kong Country series and Star Fox Adventures. They also produced a number of original titles that went on to become some of the system’s most beloved classics.

Jet Force Gemini is the third N64 game developed by Rare to see a release on the service. Banjo-Kazooie and Goldeneye 007 have also been previously released. Rare and their original IPs were acquired by Microsoft in 2002, who previously re-released Jet Force Gemini as part of the Rare Replay collection on Xbox One.

Jet Force Gemini will be coming to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack sometime in December 2023.
