JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure will be getting a special magazine to commemorate the series’ 35th anniversary in 2022. Each issue of JOJO Magazine will be dedicated exclusively to the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure franchise and will feature news, exclusive interviews, and artwork. The first issue is scheduled to be published on March 19, 2022 and will feature a cover illustrated by original manga creator Hirohiko Araki. The magazine will cost ¥1,650 (about $14).
Issue #1 will include a 71-page Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan one-shot manga, a new short story, two JoJo stickers, a special feature detailing the anime adaptation of the series, and an interview with Issey Takahashi, the voice actor behind Rohan Kishibe in the spin-off drama series. The most recent anime adaptation, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, was released exclusively on Netflix on December 1, 2021.
To date, Hirohiko Araki released eight parts of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure manga series, the latest being Jojolion. Araki confirmed that he is currently working on the ninth installment, titled JoJolands. The series was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1984 until 2004 and was transferred to Ultra Jump magazine in 2005. The series is Shueisha’s largest ongoing manga series by volume count, with 131 volumes released as of September 17, 2021.
