Finally, we can see the Chimera Ant King in action. Bandai Namco shared a Jump Force Meruem gameplay trailer. It isn’t terribly long. You can watch all of it in under a minute. However, it still manages to provide a pretty good indication of what the new DLC fighter’s moveset will look like once he’s added to the game. Initially, all we had to go by were some screenshots.
Things kick off with him using standard attacks, before we see what appears to be his Rage Blast in action. Throughout the video, we also get to hear his Japanese voice actor drop some ominous lines like “It’s like playing without my strongest pieces” and “Let me hear you struggle!” (That “you did well” at the end is pretty condescending, though.)
Here’s the full Jump Force Meruem gameplay trailer. It confirms his Fall 2020 PS4, Xbox One, and PC debut and 2021 Switch release.
Meruem is one of two characters coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions of Jump Force in Fall 2020. Earlier in September 2020, Bandai Namco confirmed that Yu Yu Hakusho’s Hiei would launch during the same time period.
Jump Force is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
