Circle Entertainment have picked up another Nintendo eShop game from Japan to publish in the West: Karous – The Beast of Re:Eden, a new title in the Karous series of shoot-em-ups that was released in 2014.

Like its predecessor on the Dreamcast, Karous – The Beast of Re:Eden is a vertical shoot-em-up. The game allows players to customize their craft by outfitting it with different kinds of shields, bombs, and swords.

Each of these levels up and increases in power the more they’re used, and you’ll unlock more as you play through the game. Developer Klon included 100 missions in the new Karous, and this mission layout allows some flexibility in terms of branching paths that can lead to different endings.

Karous – The Beast of Re:Eden will be released in North America on April 30th for $6.99 on Nintendo 3DS.
