People playing Kingdom Hearts Union χ [Cross] can now get a taste of Kingdom Hearts III. Square Enix has announced Classic Kingdom minigames from the upcoming action-RPG are now available in the Android and Apple iOS game. Those who give it a try can earn a reward for Kingdom Hearts III.
Kingdom Hearts III’s Classic Kingdom minigames are inspired by LCD handheld games, like Nintendo’s Game & Watch series. Two specifically were highlighted on the Kingdom Hearts Union χ [Cross] Twitter account. One is Fishin’ Frenzy and appears to involve Sora and Mickey fishing, while the other is Giantland and has Sora avoiding a giant. Both are playable in χ3 [ex tres] mode.
Both of the Classic Kingdom minigames have certain hallmarks connected to them. If people complete objectives related to them in Kingdom Hearts Union χ [Cross], they will earn a Starlight Keyblade code for the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version of Kingdom Hearts III. People will be able to get a code for the version of their choice at a later date through the app, after earning one.
Kingdom Hearts Union χ [Cross] is available for Android and Apple iOS devices. Kingdom Hearts III will come to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Japan on January 25, 2019. It will debut in other regions on January 29, 2019.
