Takara Tomy announced that an array of Licca-chan dolls formerly only available in Japan will be sold worldwide in North America, including ones based on Frieren, Detective Conan (Case Closed), and Sanrio mascots such as Kuromi and My Melody. The rollout started in March 2026, and it will expand to include US stores like Box Lunch, Hot Topic, and Miniso. However, as of time of writing the only online listing at those three storefronts could be found at Hot Topic and featured the Petit Hello Kitty Blind Box figures for $14.90. While other variants are showing up on Amazon, they are at the previous higher prices.

All of these upcoming US releases involve items that already launched in Japan. For example, the Frieren Licca-chan doll debuted there in December 2025. So far it only covers anime crossover characters, so the Super Mario variant isn’t confirmed for a worldwide debut yet.

The official site confirmed 10 initial dolls. The blind boxes are the cheapest variants at $14.90 each. The Kimono and Otonppo variants are going to be $24.99 each. All other styles will be $29.99 when available worldwide.

Here’s the full list of Licca-chan standard and crossover dolls that will show up

  • Licca Detective Conan Edogawa Conan Style.
  • Licca Detective Conan Phantom Thief Style.
  • Licca Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.
  • Licca LD-10 Otonappo.
  • Licca LD-11 Kuromi.
  • Licca LD-28 My Melody.
  • Licca LD-30 Kimono.
  • Licca Retro Sailors Jacket Fashion.
  • Licca Retro Sailors Marine Fashion.
  • Petit Licca Hello Kitty and Friends.

Here are the official photos for all the confirmed Licca-chan dolls that will appear in North America throughout 2026 so far.

The Licca-chan dolls are beginning to appear in stores outside Japan in North America now, with Hot Topic being one of the first to offer them via the Petit Licca Hello Kitty and Friends blind boxes.
