Atelier Ryza 2 is less than a month away from release in Japan, but we just found out that Lila and Empel from the first game will return in the sequel. Koei Tecmo and Gust shared the latest details in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]
Here are some highlights from Famitsu:
- Empel Vollmer and Lila Decyrus will appear in Atelier Ryza 2. The two have been continuing their travels in search of a certain something.
- Empel is surprised to see Tao’s growth, while Lila appears to be worried about the lifeless-looking Lent. We still don’t know what’s up with Lent, but it appears that something happened to him between the two games.
- The Puni Raising will add a new leveling system. Puni at higher levels will get you more quantity and rarer items.
- The ateliers will get a big upgrade with the ability to rearrange the area. Since you’ll have two floors to work with, there’s plenty of space for all kinds of decorations or furniture.
Atelier Ryza 2 will release for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in Japan on December 3, 2020. The game will release in North America for the PS5, PS4, Switch, and PC via Steam on January 26, 2021. Europe will get the game on January 29, 2021.
