Luocha in Honkai: Star Rail Doesn’t Need Good Light Cones or Relics

Luocha is one of the best Abundance (healer) characters currently in Honkai: Star Rail, because you can put whatever Light Cones or Relics on him, and he’ll still be extremely useful. He provides massive heals with his skill, due to how much it scales off of his ATK. The Field he creates is amazing for recovering from disastrous situations. Because Luocha can thrive on scraps, what Light Cones or Relics you give him in Honkai: Star Rail depends on other Abundance characters you have.

How to pick the best Light Cones and Relics for Luocha in Honkai: Star Rail

As a quick reminder, here is a basic description of how Luocha works. He heals a percentage of his ATK, and he can both cleanse an ally’s debuff or remove an enemy’s buff. His Ultimate is an offensive one that adds a stack of Abyss Flower. Healing, either manually with his skill or automatically when an ally’s HP goes below 50%, will also grant a stack. Once Luocha has two stacks of Abyss Flower, he creates a Field in which characters will heal themselves (and the rest of the party once you unlock a Trace) every time they attack.

It’s pretty easy to see why the Xianzhou residents viewed Abundance as an abomination once you get a taste of Luocha’s healing. It’s so naturally good that it can be hard to tell if particular Light Cones or Relic Sets are better than others. This again means that you don’t necessarily have to give him your best stuff if you want to save it for other characters.

Here are the best Light Cones for Luocha in Honkai: Star Rail:

  • Echoes of the Coffin
As per usual, the signature Light Cone for a character is usually their best one. Echoes of the Coffin raises Luocha’s ATK and can regenerate Energy for himself for every enemy they hit. After the wearer uses their Ultimate, it increases allies’ SPD. Not only are ATK-oriented Abundance Light Cones likely a minority, this will also help to increase how many times Luocha can use his Ultimate, which is a quick and easy way to earn Abyss Flower stacks. This is a limited 5-star Light Cone, which makes it hard to get, though.
  • Time Waits for No One
Time Waits for No One increases Max HP and Outgoing Healing. It also deals a random attacked enemy DMG based on a recorded amount of Luocha’s heal. This effect is fairly hard to notice; it’s like 500 or 600 points of Imaginary DMG and it only records what Luocha heals with his Skill. But as a 5-star Light Cone, it greatly enhances his ATK because of its high stats so it’s ultimately a nice choice for his healing.
  • Perfect Timing
This Light Cone increases Effect RES, as well as Outgoing Healing based on the total Effect RES Luocha has. Effect RES is nice for Luocha because you don’t want him to be affected by stuff like Imprisonment. He does have a Trace that’ll diminish the chances of him getting hit by one, but that’s specifically for Crowd Control Effects.
  • Quid Pro Quo
At the start of Luocha’s turn, this Light Cone will regenerate 8 Energy for a random ally (excluding himself) whose Energy is below 50%. So this is a good general one since everyone could use more Energy.

Here are the best Relics for Luocha in Honkai: Star Rail:

  • Musketeer of Wild Wheat
You don’t have to give him the 4-piece but make sure he gets the 2-piece at least for its ATK boost. This is because Luocha’s healing scales off of his ATK so the buffer he is, the better off he’ll be.
  • Passerby of Wandering Cloud
The 2-pc set for this increases his Outgoing Healing bonus, which will further increase how good he is as a healer. While Luocha does have an offensive Ultimate and Imaginary Break Effect is really good, it’s better in the long run to focus on his healing instead of trying to pivot him to a sub-DPS of sorts.
  • Space Sealing Station
Like Musketeer, this increases Luocha’s ATK Once he reaches a certain SPD, it gives him an extra ATK bonus. As an Abundance character, you’ll want to give Luocha SPD, so he should be able to reach 120 with buffs and the like.

Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on mobile devices and Windows PC. PS4 and PS5 versions are in development. Luocha is only available to pull from the gacha when the “Laic Pursuit” Event Warp is active in Honkai: Star Rail.
