Mario Strikers: Battle League Demo Lets You Test the Switch Soccer Game

People get a chance to try Mario Strikers: Battle League, the latest Switch entry in the Super Mario soccer game series, with a new demo. Nintendo announced the trial last night. It is immediately available worldwide on the eShop.

This isn’t the first free trial for the first-party title. Back before Mario Strikers: Battle League launched, Nintendo shared a limited-time demo for the Switch soccer game. That one only offered six sessions during which people could play. This one offers a more extensive opportunity, though in some ways it is still limited.

As mentioned in the announcement, people can’t access everything. For instance, Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, Yoshi, and Bowser are the only playable characters. (Folks like Rosalina, Daisy, and Donkey Kong are locked out.) You also are limited to a few stadiums as well.

There is also a limit as to how many times you can play. This number is set based on the mode. If you want to test out the Cup Battle feature, you can play the Cannon Cup once. The Quick Battle option can be tried a few more times. Folks can see what a fast Switch soccer match is like in that mode seven times.

Mario Strikers: Battle League and its demo are available now on Nintendo Switch.
