Sony took to the PlayStation Blog to confirm that the Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls open beta will allow everyone to test out some of the Episode Mode campaign’s story in addition to playing versus modes. It also confirmed 15 fighters will be available. The PS5 and PC test will take place between July 24-26, 2026. Things start at 12am PT/3am ET on July 24, 2026. Then, it runs nonstop until 11:59pm PT on July 26, 2026 (2:59am ET on July 27, 2026).
First, the Episode Mode story section will be one of five ways to play in the Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls open beta. It will consist of three Spider-Man’s Amazing Guardians chapters. The Casual Match and Ranked Match online modes will also be present for fighting other participants. (The online lobby will also be open.) Versus Mode will be available for offline matches against the CPU. Finally, Training Mode will be unlocked and open to everyone.
As for the characters, we are seeing representatives from five of the factions. So only five of the characters from the final game won’t be available to use. Here’s the full list of who’ll be around from Sony. One of the most recent reveals, Black Panther, will be playable, as will Blade.
