https://www.siliconera.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/sakuranote.jpg Like everyone else, I thought MMV’s new DS adventure game was called “Sakura Note.” 1UP, however, claim that it’s actually meant to be Sakuranaut. No, I don’t know what that is either, so I’ll stick with the former for now.

Sakura Note is an adventure game set in two towns.

A girl by the name of Nanami Yoshida has recently moved to your village and is being troubled by the town’s ghosts. This is somehow connected to two sakura trees, one of which is withering and the other blooming. You play the role of a young lad trying to get to the bottom of the mystery. Judging by the Famitsu images, a dog and cat also factor into the story in some way.

Sakura Note is scheduled for a November 5 release in Japan. The most promising thing about the game at this point is its star-studded staff. Here’s what Famitsu has revealed so far:

Composer: Nobuo Uematsu

Design: Akira Ueda (map design on Super Mario RPG, director on Contact)

Scenario: Kazushige Nojima (FFVII, FFVIII, FFX, FFX-2, Kingdom Hearts, KH2, Super Smash Bros. Brawl)

Art: Hideo Minaba (concept designer for Lost Odyssey)
