Masahiro Sakurai Oversees Giant Kid Icarus: Uprising Papercraft

Kid Icarus: Uprising is Kirby creator Masahiro Sakurai’s very first game at his new company, Project Sora, which was set up for the purpose of developing the Nintendo 3DS title and the next Smash Bros. game.

With Uprising slated for release later this year, Sakurai’s doing an interesting little bit of promo work by having giant papercraft built of the game’s characters. Here’s a look, courtesy of Nintendaan:

Kid Icarus: Uprising was confirmed for a 2011 release in the U.S. at E3 last month, but a recent fact sheet from Nintendo in the Netherlands indicates that Europe may not see it until Q1 of next year.
