A few days ago, Bandai Namco teased new announcements for Dragon Ball FighterZ via a Twitch livestream. It was announced on-stream today that Master Roshi will be making a debut in the game as a DLC playable character. Master Roshi DLC will be available as additional content when he releases in September 2020.

Check out the trailer for Master Roshi DLC below:

Master Roshi is the third DLC fighter out of the FighterZ Fighter Pass 3, after Kefla and Ultra Instinct Goku. The old turtle hermit master joins the fight using his signature Kamehameha attacks that he taught Goku, the Evil Containment Wave, and a good old-fashioned beatdown. He also lets out his silly side in his animations, like his trademark double victory pose.

Apart from Roshi, Bandai Namco also revealed the upcoming roadmap for community events. In September, we’ll get a players reveal for the National Championship, and also get a closer showcase of Roshi’s moveset before he is released that same month. October and November will focus on community content, while the playoffs will happen in December. Of course, there are also two more DLC characters after Roshi, so it’s likely we’ll get even more news during this timeframe.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The FighterZ Pass 3 is available now for $19.99.
