The board game adaptation of Metal Gear Solid is now available to preorder. Containing 24 miniatures, Metal Gear Solid The Board Game – Integral Edition allows players to relive the events of the game through either 6 independent missions or a 14 mission campaign. Pre-orders include a miniature of Metal Gear Rex and a 109 page graphic novel. The game is expected to ship in May 2024. It will cost $100 plus shipping and VAT.
Snake, Meryl and Otacon are playable, with Gray Fox able to be used as a player character or a boss. 12 soldiers patrol the board, led by 6 boss characters including Liquid Snake and Psycho Mantis. Also included are a disguised Meryl mini and two cardboard box disguises. The game was designed by Emerson Matsuuchi and illustrated by Marco Chechetto, with miniature sculpts from BigChild Creative and Kenneth Loh illustrating the graphic novel.

We’ve seen a lot of Metal Gear news this week. A remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and new set of ports for the older games in the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection both were announced at Sony’s Playstation Showcase on May 24, 2023.
