Another iconic legendary is joining Pokémon GO. Appropriately enough, it is another character from the original 151. Mewtwo, following a Pokémon GO Stadium Event in Yokohama, Japan on August 14, 2017, will appear worldwide.

Mewtwo will be an Exclusive Raid Battle boss. This is a sort of Raid Battle that requires participants to have an invitation. Only those who have successfully completed a recent Raid Battle at the gym where the Exclusive Raid Battle will be held can attend. They will be notified of the event ahead of the fight, so they can make plans to attend and fight Mewtwo.

In addition to the Mewtwo Exclusive Raid Battle, Niantic issued an update regarding the four legendary bird Pokémon currently available in Pokémon GO. Lugia, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will again be appearing in standard Raid Battles as bosses. This will happen between August 14-31, 2017.

Pokémon GO is available for Android and Apple iOS devices.
