Koei Tecmo confirmed that a Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX English release is on the way. It revealed that not only is the combo pack with both games coming to Japan in December 2021. That December 9, 2021 launch date is for a worldwide release. That also means that the Apple iOS versions will appear outside Japan as well.
The announcement came up on Twitter alongside an official video from Monster Rancher series Executive Producer Kazumi Fujita. In it, he acknowledged that the requests to bring the two rereleases worldwide were heard. It’s then that he also confirmed that region-locking elements will be removed so people who purchase Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX in English will be able to interact with people who own the game in Japan.

As a reminder, these Monster Rancher games originally appeared on the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices in Japan. The original Monster Rancher arrived first at the end of 2019, then got Tournament and monster updates. After that, Monster Rancher 2 arrived in September 2020.
Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX will arrive on the Nintendo Switch, PC, and Apple iOS devices in English on December 9, 2021, the same day the game will appear on the eShop and Steam in Japan.
