Mortal Kombat X Aiming For 1080p, 60fps

Like previous Mortal Kombat games, Mortal Kombat X will run on a modified version of Unreal Engine 3. Series co-creator Ed Boon confirmed this over Twitter this past weekend.

In response to a fan asking whether Mortal Kombat X runs on Unreal 3 or Unreal 4, Boon replied: “Using our highly self-customized version of Unreal 3. 60fps 1080p!”

Which platforms Boon was referring to when he made this statement is unknown.

Boon also said over Twitter that it is unlikely one will see God of War’s Kratos make another guest appearance in the game. “He was awesome in MK9 but we dont wanna repeat,” Boon said in reply to a fan.

More information on Mortal Kombat X will be available this week at E3.
