Cow Simulator 2014 was created using the Divinity Engine Toolkit that comes with Divinity: Original Sin. If you already own the game on Steam Early Access, you can open the Steam client and go to Library –> Tools to find the Toolkit.

The Toolkit allows users to create both single and multiplayer mods. You can create multiplayer campaigns for up to four players. You can also choose to modify the main campaign in the existing game with whatever adjustments you like, including story and dialogue.
