Namco Bandai Gobbles D3 Publisher For $12 Million

Namco Bandai made a bid for the Onechanbara creator D3 Publisher last month. Today, the deal is done with Namco Bandai owning 19,990 shares, 95.02% of the outstanding shares. Each share was purchased for 62,000 yen ($628) valuating the buyout at 1,239,380,000 yen ($12.55 million).

D3 Publisher known for its quirky Simple series also has the rights to publish Ben 10 video games overseas and owns technology like the Vicious Engine. Namco Bandai plans to keep D3 Publisher’s stream of budget software flowing and hopes the partnership will increase their presence overseas.

 

Subsidiaries for D3 Publisher are housed in North America and Europe. It is unknown how the buyout will affect them.
