We’re getting a Special Edition of Tales of Vesperia in North America, but it isn’t chalk full of swag. The key bonus is a 25 track audio CD with 14 songs from Tales of Vesperia, two from Tales of Phantasia (side note: I’m guessing these won’t be the chip tunes from the Super Famicom / GBA game), two from Tales of Destiny, four from Tales of Symphonia, and three from Tales of the Abyss. The other difference is the game is packaged in a steelbook case with artwork from Kosuke Fujishima, the character designer of Tales of Vesperia and many other Tales games. I suppose this isn’t a bad deal for a Tales fan, but other publishers are giving soundtracks for free.
The Special Edition of Tales of Vesperia costs $69.99, $10 more than a plain game only copy.
