D3 Publisher is pleased with the performance of Naruto: Clash of Ninja. Over 140,000 units of the game were sold in North America, which was above their expectations. They believe that Naruto: Clash of Ninja 2 will do even better since the game includes 23 total characters and four player battles. If the Naruto games continue to sell well outside of Japan, D3 Publisher will consider localizing Geiktou Ninja Taisen 3 and 4. Around the same time as the fall launch of Naruto 2 for Gamecube is the release of Naruto: Ninja Academy 2 for the GBA.
