Neopets Is Now Mobile-Friendly

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

It only took about 23 years, but now a Neopets mobile-friendly option is available. The site has offered up an open beta that makes caring for the virtual pets a little easier on a phone or tablet. Previously, the site expected people to take part in the same sort of experience across devices.

Since this is a work-in-progress, changes could come to the Neopets mobile site as the company works on it and takes feedback into account. Anyone with an account can test out the beta, even on a PC. The UI is changed here, so you can see all of your pets in a scrolling bar and visit areas like Community, Games, Explore, and Shop in the upper menu bar. While the beta doesn’t let you submit scores when you take part in the site’s minigames, you can still play through Fashion Fever, Hasee Bounce, IceCream Machine, Igloo Garage Sale, Kass Basher, Rink Runner, and Turmac Roll. The “Community” and “Explore” options take you to the not-yet-mobile-friendly Neopia map.

This is one of two major Neopets announcements so far in 2020. The previous one was the reveal that a Neopets TV show is in development for kids.

Neopets has been around since 1997. The virtual pet site has spawned multiple games, like Neopets: Petpet Adventures: The Wand of Wishing for the PlayStation Portable and Neopets Puzzle Adventure for the Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, and PC.
