Square Enix announced a new line of Final Fantasy capsule toys heading to gashapon machines in Japan, and it is the Mini Acrylic Block Collection Volume 1 that features 10 FFXIV characters. All of them are based on their Wind-Up Minion appearances. Each try on the costs ¥400 (~$2.60). The announcement only noted the #C-pla and Artnia sorts of stores in Japan that will offer them starting on October 10, 2025, so we likely won’t see them worldwide.

Editor’s Note: There are some FFXIV character spoilers in the Mini Acrylic Block Collection Volume 1.

As usual, the FFXIV Mini Acrylic Block Collection Volume 1 is a random-grab series, so we don’t know which characters we’ll get. There is no “secret” one. Both Scions of the Seventh Dawn and Convocation of Fourteen members appear.

Here’s the full list of everyone available:

  • Wind-Up Aidoneus (Emet-Selch)
  • Wind-Up Alpha
  • Wind-Up Alphinaud Leveilleur
  • Wind-Up Aymeric de Borel
  • Wind-Up Erenville
  • Wind-Up G’raha Tia
  • Wind-Up Lyse Hext
  • Wind-Up Thancred Waters
  • Wind-Up Ysayle “Iceheart” Dangoulain
  • Wind-Up Y’shtola Rhul

We can see all of the sample art in the promotional picture for this Final Fantasy capsule toy collection.

All of these are characters who appear ahead of FFXIV Dawntrail, though some of them do play prominent parts in that expansion.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the FFXIV Mini Acrylic Block Collection Volume 1 will appear in select gashapon machines in Japan starting on October 10, 2025.
