Sega has published “Jet Black” as one of the new songs in Project ONSOKU. This new Hatsune Miku song has the famous Vocaloid paired with Shadow the Hedgehog.
Yunosuke is the composer behind this new song. He also commented that the Sonic Mania soundtrack inspired him the most in recent years. Meanwhile, the song’s illustration was done by FAMY, who has done character designs for light novels and games—the latter includes the Chunithm arcade game series.

“Jet Black” is the third song published in Project ONSOKU. The new Hatsune Miku collaboration project features songs themed after Sonic the Hedgehog series characters, including Shadow. The first two songs—”Sai Love Jinsei Runner” and “We Are Pico Pico Hammers!!!!”—are respectively modeled after Sonic the Hedgehog and Amy Rose. Sega will publish two more songs—”Treasure Garden” and “Denkou Sekka”—on September 15 and 22, 2025.
All songs in Project ONSOKU, including “Jet Black,” will appear in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Hatsune Miku will also join the game as a guest character. Sega will release the new game for PS5, PS4, Switch, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC worldwide on September 25, 2025, with a Switch 2 release also announced.
