New Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Trailer Showcases New Starters

The new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer is here and it showcases adventures with new starters. Things begin with a trainer picking Quaxly as their first Pokemon. Some moments between the two appear after that. Then, later in the video, moments with Sprigatito and Fuecoco also come up. This all happens while the Ed Sheeran song for these Pokemon entries plays.

Here’s the full, new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer. As this Pokemon video begins, Ed Sheeran’s “Celestial” immediately begins:

In addition to the starters, new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet characters gradually appear as the games’ launch draws nearer. Some ended up even getting their own dedicated videos. For example, the electric-type gym leader Iono showed up in one, and her partner Pokemon Bellibolt appeared in another. (Both Iono and Bellibolt have cameos in the latest trailer as well.)

Two new ghost-types showed up recently too. One is the dog-like Greavard. There’s also Gimmighoul, which appears in Chest and Roaming forms. However, it seems like people might need to wait until Pokemon Scarlet and Violet can link with Pokemon GO in 2023 to discover all of Gimmighoul’s secrets. Again, Greavard and Gimmighoul show up in the new video. However, only Gimmighoul’s Chest form appears there.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will come to the Nintendo Switch on November 18, 2022.
