Atelier Lydie Suelle DX Nelke

New Story Content for Atelier Lydie & Suelle DX Involves Nelke

The release date for Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings DX is right around the corner. Just ahead of the game’s launch, Koei Tecmo and Gust released extra information about the game’s brand new story events involving Nelke along with screenshots. The enhanced version of the game will release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC via Steam on April 22, 2021. [Thanks, Dengeki and 4Gamer!]

There will be new paintings, new stories, and at least one new boss for players to enjoy. At least two of the three newly revealed  stories will center around the Granzweit Tree. One Atelier Lydie & Suelle DX story will involve Nelke asking the party about the tree’s fruit, while the other story will involve a serious boss battle. The below screenshots give us a better look at Westwald fountain, the Puni Dome, the Pie Shop, the Art Gallery, the Granzweit Tree, and the Farm with an enormous barrel.

As for new features in Atelier Lydie & Suelle DX, players will be able to speed up combat. This option can be toggled on or off freely during battle. Next is a Photo Mode with plenty of variations. Players will be able to change which characters, NPCs, and monsters appear on the screen; the time of day; and other visual settings. Separately, the game’s digital art book will include rare illustrations and background art that Koei Tecmo only used for merchandising. Additionally, there will be plenty of DLC to enjoy. Everything from costumes, music bundles, recipes, quests, and new maps will be available. Fans may recognize costume references to other characters in the Atelier series. As for music packs, there will be songs from other Atelier games, past Gust titles, Blue Reflection, and even Nights of Azure 2.

Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings DX with these new Nelke stories and features will launch on April 22, 2021 for $39.99. Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book DX and Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey DX will also launch on the same day. Fans can purchase all three in an Atelier Mysterious Trilogy Deluxe Pack for the discounted price of $89.99. All of the titles are available for preorder on the Nintendo Switch eShop with an extra 10% discount, including the Deluxe Pack.
