NIKKE NieR: Automata Event Begins in September

Back in April 2023, Level Infinite and SHIFT UP teased a NIKKE NieR: Automata crossover. At the time, there was only a brief video that altered the logo to replace the “NI” in the game’s name with the ones used in the NieR: Automata logo. Now, the full event is confirmed. It will begin on September 1, 2023 and bring 2B, A2, and Pascal to the game.

A few details about the appearance of 2B, A2, and Pascal came up. All three will show up in some capacity. Yui Ishikawa, who is already in the game voicing major heroine Rapi, is also known for being 2B. (She also plays Mikasa in Attack on Titan and Philia in Sword Art Online.) Ishikawa also reprised her role in other crossovers, such as for SINoALICE and Soulcalibur VI. 2B will also feature a “new weapon design” for this crossover.

Teaser art already appeared showing the YoRHa androids and Machine Lifeform alongside the Nikkes. Pascal is in the back holding a Lunar Tear. In the middle are A2 and Rapi. In the front row, there’s Neon, 2B, and Anis.

This will mark the second major crossover for NIKKE in 2023. Earlier in the year, Chainsaw Man characters appeared in the game. We were able to recruit Himeno, Makima, and Power.

NIKKE: Goddess of Victory is available on PCs and mobile devices. NieR: Automata is on the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC, and its anime adaptation is streaming on Crunchyroll. The NIKKE NieR: Automata event runs September 1-27, 2023.
