Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone, the developer behind Stardew Valley, has issued an update on the Nintendo Switch version’s multiplayer update. On Twitter, Barone noted that its development had finished and the patch that would add new features is now in the quality assurance phase.
No launch date has been announced, but this is the first step toward getting the new Stardew Valley Nintendo Switch content on people’s consoles. If there are no bugs or crashes found, it will then move onto the next phase.
The Stardew Valley multplayer update launched on PCs on August 1, 2018 and brought with it new single-player events and activities and the ability to go online and play with friends. It will then come first to the Nintendo Switch, before appearing on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will not come to the PlayStation Vita.
Stardew Valley is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and PC.
