In May, Nintendo will release a firmware update for the Nintendo 3DS that will accompany the 3DS eShop service, where you’ll be able to download games and trailers for the system (like Mega Man Legends 3 Prototype Version, for example).

Along with the update, Nintendo will also distribute a 3D Classics version of Excitebike for free in Japan, according to the company’s recent investor briefing for the past fiscal year.

The May firmware update, as reported previously, will also come with an online browser that you’ll be able to open and use even while playing a game.
