Nintendo say that Nintendo Land for Wii U will serve the same purpose as Wii Sports did for the Wii, by demonstrating multiplayer uses for the Wii U GamePad.
The game will take palce in a theme park that your Mii will visit, changing into a new costume for each attraction. The park will have a total of 12 attractions to play, including attractions based on The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, Animal Crossing, Luigi’s Mansion and other Nintendo franchises.
Using the Luigi’s Mansion attraction as an example, Nintendo showed how Nintendo Land will support up to five players. Four players will play using Wii Remotes, while a fifth player holding the Wii U GamePad will chase them around as a ghost.
Nintendo say that Nintendo Land will also be integrated with Miiverse, the online community for the Wii U, and will be a launch game.
