Nio Is Playable In Atelier Escha & Logy Plus

Nio is a familiar face to people who have been going through Gust’s Dusk trilogy of Atelier games. Her sister, Ayesha, is working hard to rescue her in Atelier Ayesha, and Nio acts as a merchant in Atelier Escha & Logy, and appears in Atelier Shallie. However, Nio is a playable party member in Atelier Escha & Logy Plus.

She was originally a supporting character, so in battle Nio offers quite a bit of support as well. She can deal damage with special attacks, but is more useful when using abilities that remove status ailments from allies, revive and heal fallen friends, protects other party members, or boosts their stats.

In addition to Nio, Atelier Escha & Logy Plus contains new story elements and designs. It adds events based on the game’s anime series, showing the exact nature of the relationship between Escha and Logy. It was hinted at previously, especially with Escha’s communications with him in Atelier Shallie. Also, all of the PlayStation 3 version’s costume DLC, as well as new costumes, missions, and enemies, are included in the PlayStation Vita port.

Atelier Escha & Logy Plus will come to the PlayStation Vita via the PlayStation Store in January. North America will see it on January 19, and Europe gets it a day later on January 20. The $54.99 physical edition is still available through NIS America.
