Original Game Boy Tetris Hits Nintendo eShop In North America And Europe

Tetris is often credited as one of the reasons for the popularity of the original Game Boy. Pursuing the rights to publish the game was a roundabout process for all involved, but once it was managed, the decision paid off in spades.

 

Today, Tetris is being released on the Nintendo eShop in both North America and Europe. The game costs $3.99 in North America.

 

While I never got that far myself, depending on your stage and score, you got to see different ending scenes in the game. One of these is the Russian Buran spacecraft taking off:

 

 

Why a Russian spacecraft? Because Tetris was originally developed by a Russian computer engineer named Alexey Pajitnov.
