Wind And Sea has revealed that it will hold a Halloween event themed after PaRappa the Rapper at its Gotemba outlet in Japan. The event will, however, take place on October 11-13, 2025, which would be around three weeks earlier than the actual Halloween day.

The outlet will have photo and merchandise booths set up for the duration of the event. Costume mascots of PaRappa and PJ Berry will also appear at the venue.

Visitors to the event can receive a free Tirol Choco block with special packaging while stocks last. The merchandise booth will feature purchasable goods like apparel and plushies, and those who make any purchase there can also get a bonus sticker of PaRappa with a Halloween-themed hat for free.

This event will be based on one of Sony PlayStation’s classic entries. PaRappa the Rapper originally appeared on the first PlayStation in 1996 in Japan and 1997 in the West. Sony would then bring the game to PlayStation Portable ten years later and PlayStation 4 in 2017.

Sony has also been sporadically producing PaRappa-themed merchandise in recent years. It set up a temporary pop-up store in 2022 and worked with Amnibus in 2023.

The PaRappa the Rapper Halloween event in Japan will take place at Wind And Sea Gotemba in Shizuoka Prefecture from October 11 to 13, 2025.
