Bravely Default: Flying Fairy Concept Art Reveals A Dark Knight?

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy has a job system similar to Final Fantasy V, according to producer, Tomoya Asano. Asano once referred to the game as a “standard RPG” with random encounters and turn-based battles.

Does this mean we’ll see some of Final Fantasy’s character classes make their way into the game as well? We don’t know. Asano’s been posting Bravely Default concept art to the game’s Facebook page. Recently, he uploaded a character that looks like a Dark Knight, calling it a “rough design”. Whether or not it’s a job class (or if they affect your looks) remains to be seen.

As you may recall, the art for Bravely Default is being handled by Akihiko Yoshida, who’s known for his work on Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling Together, Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light and Final Fantasy XII. Here’s a look at some other pieces of concept art:

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy doesn’t have a release date yet, but is slated for release sometime next year in Japan. You can find a brief town video here and three other short pieces of footage here.
