Atlus shared a new Persona 4 Revival trailer during gamescom 2026 that goes over the story of the remake. It spends about two minutes going over the events of the game and the Investigation Team trying to figure out who is tossing folks into the Midnight Channel Shadow world while also saving victims. It’s in contrast to the previous “The Story so Far” video that highlighted how the protagonist Yu Narukami found himself in that situation.
The Persona 4 Revival story trailer essentially expands on the previous summary and includes a mix of gameplay, story segments, and animated scenes. We first hear about Yu arriving in Inaba as we see him taking part in activities like band, basketball, scooter riding, and socializing with his cousin Nanako. From there, we hear about the murder mysteries hitting the town and possible serial killer using the urban legend Midnight Channel to kill people.
It’s then we learn it isn’t a rumor. Yu, Chie, and Yosuke end up going into that other world and meeting a being known as Teddie. They discover someone is tossing folks into the other side and that encountering and confronting their Shadow can lead to them gaining access to their Personas and new strength. The team then decides to fight back and figure out what’s going on.
