Persona 5 Royal’s Morgana Report Video Shows Its New Story, School & Phantom Thief Parts

Atlus kicked off an official mini-program for Persona 5 Royal called Morgana Tsuushin (The Morgana Report), or “Monatsu” for short, and we got a glimpse of the new story parts from the third semester in vol. 1 of the program.

Check out the above video for the full Morgana Report.

In Persona 5 Royal we’ll get to check out a new third semester that wasn’t in the original Persona 5. It introduces a new character named Kasumi Yoshizawa who transfers to Shujin Academy in the same year during the spring, like the protagonist. She appears to yearn for the protagonist, but appears to reject the Phantom Thieves.

Kasumi will be a Confidant, but we’ll meet several more in the new release, including the newly appointed part-time school counselor Takuto Maruki who we see in the above video.

We also get to see the “mysterious handsome man” who uses the same archaic personal pronoun “wagahai” just like Morgana.

This video focuses on the improved school & Phantom Thief parts of the game. You can check out more including new dungeon features in our previous report.

Persona 5 The Royal releases in Japan on October 31, 2019 for PlayStation 4 and in the West in 2020. Read more from the interview with the producer and director here.In case you missed it, the Persona 5 official art book was recently released as an English-translated official e-book.
