Phantasy Star Online 2 Sub-Class Update Adds New Weapons And Level Cap

Phantasy Star Online 2 recently saw an update in Japan that added new features like an Otsukimi festival lobby, a team room, story quests and more, but there’s still the matter of that October update that’s supposed to add sub-classes to the game. Sega announced today that this will arrive on October 10th.

As previously detailed, the update will allow you to use sub-classes in conjunction with your regular class once you’ve fulfilled a certain Client Order. Equipping a sub-class will allow you to use its abilities along with those of your regular class. You’ll be able to use combinations like Hunter + Techer or Ranger + Gunner.

The October update will also increase Phantasy Star Online 2’s level cap from 40 to 50, and will add Very Hard difficulty quests that will allow you to fight rare versions of certain bosses with different colours. Sega mention rare versions of Burn Doral, Rogbelt and King Vardha (above).

Additionally, 10-star rare weapons and new Photon Arts will be added to the game as well. Take a look at some of the weapons below:
