Playboy Magazine Invades Dead Rising 2

Hold it! Before you post a comment about how this is evil and Capcom are greedy, money-leeching vermin that need to stop faffing around and announce the next Onimusha already, consider this: in no way could having Playboy ads appear in Dead Rising 2’s world possibly detract from the game in any meaningful way. In fact, the two go together rather well.

Playboy isn’t the only publication that’s going to be in the game though. While there’s a special ingame issue of the magazine for players to find, Dead Rising 2 also features what Capcom are calling a “magazine system,” by which you’ll be able to pick up a variety of different themed magazines in the game that grant different bonuses.

“The Sin City-type environment in Dead Rising 2, Fortune City, is a natural playground for the Playboy Bunnies,” said Seon King, Senior Director of Licensing for Capcom Entertainment, Inc. “We have integrated the Playboy brand throughout the game in ways that bring even more life to Fortune City and add to the user experience.”
