Pokémon GO’s Next Collaboration Is With One Piece, Adds A Special Straw Hat Pikachu On July 22

The Pokémon Company announced the next big collaboration coming to Pokémon GO is with Eiichiro Oda’s manga and anime series, One Piece. The event starts July 22 with a special Straw Hat Pikachu. [Thanks, Serebii.]

The event is expected to start on July 22 at 4:00 UTC and ends on July 29 at 4:00 UTC. The special Straw Hat Pikachu will appear in the game worldwide.

A Straw Hat outfit will be available for the trainers. Furthermore, a special One Piece statue will also be placed in Kumamoto, Japan, along with special PokéStop artwork by Eiichiro Oda as part of a way to support Kumamoto’s rebuild from recent earthquake damage.

 

Pokémon GO is available for iOS and Android.
