People will need to look out for Pokemon Legends: Arceus spoilers, as there are now leaks in the wild. Folks on social media are sharing pictures of retail copies they’ve acquired. Character models, screenshots, and videos are also appearing frequently. [Thanks, Destructoid!]
In general, the Pokemon Legends: Arceus leaks revealed spoilers regarding its story and new Pokemon forms and evolutions so far. Ahead of launch, Nintendo revealed a handful of these. Basculegion, Hisuian Growlithe, and Wyrdeer were among the first. Along the way, Hisuian forms of Zorua, Zoroark, and Voltorb also appeared. Kleavor also appeared as an entirely new character.
As a reminder, Pokemon Legends: Arceus is an entry set in the past. Players are tasked with creating the first Pokedex for the Hisui region. This also means encountering and catching Pokemon works a bit differently. People will need to enlist the help of certain Pokemon to reach new areas, observe characters to find out things like what they like to eat, and repeatedly catch them to fill out their entries.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus will come to the Nintendo Switch on January 28, 2022. People who pre-order a digital copy will also get some Heavy Balls they can use to catch Pokemon in-game.
