The official introductory video for the basics of upcoming smartphone title Pokemon Masters is now online, and it comes with a short four-minute animation that shows off many trainers from across the series. Several new screenshots are also now available.
Pokemon Masters takes place in the Pasio artificial island, where the Masters League is held. Each character travels with one Pokemon partner as a Sync Pair, and battles are 3v3 battles where moves are used as they charge to max during battle. There are also Sync Moves that act as finishing moves, and Trainer’s Moves that support Pokemon like giving passive healing or raising stats.
According to Pokemon Company, players can team up with duos such as Korrina & Lucario, Brendan & Treecko, Clair & Kingdra, and many more. At launch, there will be 65 sync pairs to recruit in Pokémon Masters, with additional sync pairs to come following the game’s release. New sync pairs can be recruited by making friends with them after defeating them in battle.
