Pokemon Sword And Shield Features Soccer Stadiums As Gyms

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield’s reveal trailer showed off a huge building that seemed to be a Gym, and Nintendo confirmed today that they were Gyms after all, with the interior looking like a soccer stadium.

According to Nintendo, Gyms in the Galar region are bigger than ever, and once again, you’ll have to beat the person in charge to progress. However, in Pokemon Sword & Shield, they are called Gym Masters rather than Gym Leaders. Just why are they named differently?
