A special Pokemon Sword and Shield Max Raid is here. Designed to celebrate the new year, three characters will appear more often. People have a better chance of finding Bouffalant, Miltank, and Tauros in Dens in the Wild Area. This is due to 2021 being the Year of the Ox.
The announcement in the Nintendo Switch news section discussed the event. All three ox-like characters will appear over the weekend. However, only one has a greater chance of being shiny. While there is no guarantee you will get or see one, a shiny Tauros could appear.
Previously, a rather ordinary Pokemon Sword and Shield Max Raid event ran. Earlier in January 2021, Skwovet and Greedent were the stars. The “squirrels” were joined by characters like Amoonguss, Cherubi, and Shiinotic. And around Christmas 2020, people could see more characters like Delibird and Vulpix.
Pokemon Sword and Shield are available for the Nintendo Switch. The Year of the Ox-related Pokemon Sword and Shield Max Raid will run until January 24, 2021. The next Pokemon game in the pipeline will be New Pokemon Snap. It will debut in April 2021 and give people a chance to catch Pokemon in pictures. It will include characters from the new games, like Grookey and Scorbunny.
