Pokémon GO Getting Alolan Forms

Recommended Videos

New Pokémon have been teased for Pokémon GO, though they are actually rather familiar ones. The Niantic blog has announced the debut of Alolan forms of Kanto characters originally found in Pokémon Sun and Moon. They will begin appearing in the game over the coming weeks.

Niantic released an image with outlines of characters who will be showing up. They are, from left to right, Diglett, Meowth, Vulpix, Geodude, Marrowak, Exeggutor, Sandslash, Raichu, Muk, Dugtrio and Rattata. The Alolan forms not shown in the image are Golem, Graveler, Grimer, Ninetails, Raticate and Sandshrew.

Pokémon GO is available for Android and Apple iOS devices.
