Two major updates have been announced for Pokémon GO. The first is in the midst of being rolled out. People on Android and Apple iOS devices will be able to upgrade to version 0.49.1 and 1.19.1 soon. This comes ahead of new Pokémon being added to the game and transformation of Sprint, Boost Mobile, and Sprint at Radioshack locations becoming Poke Steps.

The Pokémon GO update 0.49.1 and 1.19.1 focuses on quality of life adjustments. The first adjustment has to do with Pokémon transferring. You can now send more than one to Professor Willow at a time. The Buddy Pokémon information screen tells you more, noting the total Candy count and km you’ve walked with him. Finally, gym battle screens will have type icons to help you plan out moves. Minor text fixes have also been made.

As for the additional Pokémon, the official Pokémon Twitter account has confirmed more characters. Information on the new creatures will be offered on December 12, 2016. This announcement comes after data for second generation Pokémon was found in November 2016.

Pokémon GO is available for Android and Apple iOS devices.
