Last week saw the introduction of Generation 2 Pokémon into the world of Pokémon GO, and the new addition has quickly proven to be advantageous for the mobile game. [Thanks, VentureBeat.]
Since adding over 80 new Pokémon to catch and train, the mobile game has reclaimed the number one spot for highest-grossing apps on the iPhone, and No. 3 highest on Google Play. The game hadn’t been No. 1 on the charts since the end of its New Years’ event on January 4th, and only got to No. 8 during its Valentine’s Day event.
Pokémon GO is still performing well in countries outside of the United States, staying consistently at No. 1 in Great Britain, Denmark, Ecuador, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, and Slovakia.
Pokémon GO is available for iOS and Android devices.
