Pop’n Pop being remade for the Wii?

There are a couple of points to note on Nintendo’s Q2 European release schedule. Super Swing Golf Pangya is going to be published by Nintendo under the name Pangya! Golf with Style. Kirby Squeak Squad is being renamed Kirby Mouse Attack and there is an entry for Pop’n Pop by 505 Games. Pop’n Pop is one of Taito’s arcade games where you match up colored balloons to pop them. It’s sort of like Bust a Move, but with more obscure mascots like the Kiwi from New Zealand Story and Bob from Don Doku Don. On the other hand Pop’n Pop can be an all new game with the same name as Taito’s puzzle game, but since 505 Games is also publishing an Elevator Action remake for the Wii it seems like Pop’n Pop is getting the Wiimake treatment too.
