Among the key features of the update is video editing app called SHAREFactory. As detailed in a past report, SHAREFactory will allow users to customize and edit their gameplay videos prior to sharing them. Once you’re done making the necessary changes to your clips, you’ll be able to share videos to Facebook, export them to a USB storage device, or upload them elsewhere.

Additionally, the 1.70 update will allow PS4 users to switch off HDCP, enabling direct video capture from HDMI output to facilitate longer recordings of gameplay.

Finally, the update also builds on the Play as You Download feature, which allows users to pre-download their pre-ordered games up to several days prior to release. You can enable an auto-download option pertaining to this feature, and it will automatically pre-download your game after you pre-order it.
