Back in October 2020, Sony went over how someone could take PlayStation 4 games and saves and move them over to a PlayStation 5. Now, the company is going a step further ahead of the system’s launch. A series of support videos walking people through different tasks on the new system are available, with one of them specifically looking at PS4 to PS5 data transfer methods. [Thanks, Nibel on Twitter!]
The is two and a half minutes long, and it goes through each of the different options for moving files around. It first looks at the ethernet and WiFi transfer options, showing here cords should be plugged in. That method is a background process for the PS5, so you can do two things at once. It then looks at using things like physical copies of games, external hard drives, and downloading from the PlayStation Store and PlayStation Plus.
Here’s the PS4 to PS5 data transfer informational video.
The other two videos involve logging into your PlayStation Network account for the first time on a PS5 and adjusting your settings. First, here’s how you log-in.
And here’s how you set up 3D audio, adaptive trigger intensity, controller indicator brightness, haptic feedback strength, and power saving settings.
The PlayStation 5 will launch on November 12, 2020 in Australia, Japan, North America, and South Korea and on November 19, 2020 in the rest of the world.
